Behaviour of swarm downloads?

I have a question about how swarm downloads behave. Say I a search finds a group of 5 servers that have the file, but they are all busy, unavailable, or whatever. Finally one of the is available and the download starts at ~ 3KB/S. A little while later, another server with much greater bandwidth becomes availble as well. Does Limewire (2.5) dynamically discover this and take advantage? Or are you stuck with the original server or servers that were available when the download start?

Hello!

Yes if a new host who carry that file is free and it is available for downloads then yes LW will automatically detect it and start downloading the same file from that host to.Thats why LW will change the number of hosts it is downloading from during a download and also it is the reason to the great speed shifts during a download(atlest when you are downloading from multiple hosts at the same time indicated by a number of hosts number in the status column in the download area).
