Question library and files

I have 2 questions to be answered.
1. After downloading music songs, I have a problem putting them into my library. Please advise how to do this.

2. How do I create folders where I can organize songs by artist and save them for future use?

Your help with these 2 matters would be greatly appreciated.

I've noticed that a lot of the files that I pull down are saved as read only files. That maybe why you are having problems moving it. Right click onto properties and uncheck the read only tab, then try and move it. Not sure if that's your problem or not. Just a suggestion.

The library displays all of the folders that you are currently sharing in addition to your folder of incomplete files that is not shared.

If your downloaded files are not showing up in your library, are you sure that you are sharing the directory where you are saving your files? Your save and shared directories are listed under Tools>>Options in the "Sharing" tab.

You can create subfolders of shared folders by right-clicking (if not on the Mac) on the folder you wish to create a subdirectory for and going to the "New Folder" option. This will create a new folder as a subdirectory of the currently selected folder. You can also choose File>>New Library Folder (or something like that) from the file menu. This will also create a new subdirectory of the currently selected folder (note that you have to have a folder selected for this to work, however).

You can create as many directories as you like, and you can drag and drop your files between those directories.

Default accessing downloaded cd

I tried doing what you suggested in the post, but it doesnt work. I even tried taking the downloaded cd music out of the files and putting them directily into the main file for sharing to no avail.
I read the eairler suggestion about changing from read only files in properties but mine always says all files, so shouldnt that cover it?
Thanks for any insights and suggestions,
Turtleslave
