why buy!!!!!!!!

i have one big question -- when i click on why go pro? button -- that question is not answered ---- so please tell me why should i buy???????????

for example, what's going to be different between the paid version and the unpaid version -- are all of the files that i'm currently trying to download suddenly going to download successfully or what????

i realize it's not that costly - but if i buy and nothing changes i'm not going to be very happy - so please explain the difference between the paid version of limewire and the unpaid version.

thanks and bless,
trudy in san diego

how interesting - the makers of a program clearly designed to
be the utimate tool in copyright and software theft would now
like payment for their long hard work, from their theiving users.

do the creators of limewire want freedom of information ?
free software for all ? music free as it should be ?

yes, in principle and so long as they get rich in the process.

the last i checked, the limewire network is self sufficiant, being
peer2peer right ?

lets say that there are 100,000 users ( there are multiples more ),
and 1 in 10 give you $9.95.

unless i am mistaken that is $100,000 approx minus tax.

a lot of money for seven programmers, at least $10,000 each.

but i think they deserve it for making such a good program.

at least they would deserve it if the programs sole purpose wasn't to steal.

THAT IS STEAL NOT SHARE. STEAL - ACCORDING TO THE LAW.

people dont value limewire because it has a nice interface or
because it is effeciant or because it is SO WONDERFUL WE
ALL MUST BUY IT (note sarcism).

unlike a regular software limewire's usefulness is dependant on
people breaking the law, and prehaps more importantly, screwing
your competitors and the music industry over, including the
artists and program writers such as yourselves.

either you believe in free software and music, or you dont.
choose your side and be honest in that.

dont become hypocritical and start employing the tactics of those industries you are bringing down, that is pathetic.

boy you sound bitter like you are one of those starving artist or programers
that are missing out on they're payment
or just some one on there soapbox
that needs something to complain about
which ever it is" oh well" what ever.......... it all will wash its self out in the long run
what goes around comes around :) :) :)

discrediting me does not win the argument.

dirtyboy103us August 6th, 2002 04:26 AM

bravo peerless well said you can't explain how the world works with someone who has blinders on let me make it easier from the beggining of time people try to get things for free
ie- bank robbers so banks hire a police
force to stop them then they build a
prision more people to hire then they have to feed the prisioners more people
to hire and house them and so on and so on all because i wanted to tape a song off the internet that i liked that i allready bought on tape 10 years ago now i have it on cd oh i get it i should pay twice for the same music and pay dearly

Wonderfull stuff ;)

it doesn't seem unreasonable to think that the two articles by Janice Ian will come to be seen as pivotal moments in the ongoing struggle to force Hilary et al to back away from their despicable efforts to deny the obvious that a radically new business model is needed by the majors

I'm so heartened I almost feel warmly disposed towards hippies

a GREAT read
