Default Upload stats

Can someone tell me if the number of uploads I see in my stats are uploads from me or my ultrapeer group as I assume?? Sometimes I have upload slots set to Zero (because I have a modem connection which often sucks and my d/l speed goes to 0.1 if anyone is uploading when I am downloading) and the upload figure changes as though I am getting hits.

TYI for enlightenment

the 'uploads' column changes, or the 'hits' column (or even the 'location' column) ?

hits are to be expected, because the requests for files _will_ generate responses. uploads shouldn't really happen, unless they're 'head' requests, which really just exchange information (and subsequently change the 'locations' numbers).

the numbers are for your individual servent, not the ultrapeer group.

Default Hmmm

The upload stat I am referring to is in the "Upload count" component of the Tools>Options>Statistics window.

Right now, I just opened LimeWire (Pro) with Zero slots, and it has Upload count figure of 1. Earlier today there was a count in the 1600s after I had been online for some time!! I can see the flow of searches, and occasionally see someone uploading -- however, I don't have that tab view open by default, so no idea when there's really activity in there.

TY for your reply.

it _might_ be because clients are attempting to connect, but you're shooing them off. these attempts are counted as uploads. to get a more detailed info, look at the 'library' tab in version 2.6.3+, it'll tell you how much each file was succesfully/attempted uploaded.

Default ah ha!

Many thanks -- that explains it. Hadn't seen that the Library tab generated any stats.
