is 9 hours too long?

I have been trying to down load some programs for the past nine hours. I expected it to take awhile, but not this long. Is nine hours normal, or am I doing something wrong? One program was 92% complete, and I lost my internet conection, and now the status is "requary sent, waiting", and now have to wait all over again. Is this what I should expect everytime I get on?

Well,don't know what to tell yah. I once spent 16 hours on requery sent waiting. But after the person finally accepted it downloaded pretty d@mn fast. You've gatta remember those people have about 1000 requests sent a minute,so it takes awhile for them to find YOURS and send it to you.
