Freezing W2K

Hi all!
I'm new to Limewire and am having some frustration.
I'm on W2K, SP2. It seems Limewire causes my system to freeze. Not even a BSOD, just a frozen, locked system, forcing me to reboot via the button, since I can't even use the keyboard's Ctrl+Alt+Del.

Has anyone experienced this? Are there known conflicts I can't seem to find record of on the Limewire site?
