not sharing

I have downloaded the updated version, but not I can't access my folder that has all my songs to be shared. I go to options the shared and try to add my folder that has all my songs in it but it does not pull up any of the songs. Does this sound right? Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do to get my songs out there. I think I have tried everything. Any help would be great!
