Pro and Basic?
 

Is there any difference in the programs themselves besides pro not having text ads at the bottom?

What's the benefit to upgrading? The ability to download betas don't count. I don't want to pay to test their software. Upgrades don't count because the basic will be updated when necessary. I want to know if there's anything different in the operation of the Pro version. The info page on pro makes it sound as if upgrades, support and no ads are the only difference.

That is correct... and in my opinion, this difference is worth the nominal cost of Pro!

Also... keep in mind, while you may not want to "test their software", the ability to access beta versions does in fact allow you to take advantage of new features and performance enhancements far in advance of their official release.

I just like to help out limewire in their development is why i have it.Also on the bottom of the basic download page there IS A BETA LINK for you to download the beta's:D
