Filter Ip Addresses -

You will just have to keep filtering addresses. There's more than one. Look at the actual files that show up and filter the IP addresses that you see.

If you keep doing it, eventually you won't see them anymore. (Hopefully!)

HOW DO YOU DO THIS WHEN THESE FILES PLEASE SHARE -AWESOME DONT SHOW AN IP ADDRESS -HOW CAN I FIND THE IP ADDRESS -AND THEN I CAN FILTER THEM????

i'm not sure how to see the ip. but you can filter out the
keywords. maybe that helps a bit.

What system are you using? If you are using Mac, control-click on one of the column headers (Quality, Name #...) and a menu will pop up. Click the box for Location.

does anyone know how to do this on a PC?

Paradog February 21st, 2003 06:37 AM

to view the ip, right click on the column header of the searchresults window and check 'location'.

this shows the ips of the hosts sending you the results.

if you wanna block the host, go to:
tools, then options, click on filters and hosts.
there you can add the ips you wanna block.

hope this helps.

thank you! when I right click it does not say "location" but it does say "browse host". ..I did that and do see the address. ...I also notice that for some searches, this option is greyed out. Why is that? Thanks again. Joe

don't right-click on the rows themselves, right-click on the actual tables headers. (the blue things that say "quality", "#", "name", etc...) it'll give you the option to display/hide more columns. (you can do this with other tables too if you have the latest version).

Hi Sam,

I submitted a patch to add a "block host" option to the right-click menu in the search results.

noticed that -- very cool. i'm pretty sure adam has been meaning to do something like this ... if adam or someone hasn't already merged it by tuesday, i'll make sure to put that in (unless there's any concerns about adding it -- but i doubt that'll happen).
