User and password popup on Pro???
 

Hello,
I had been a loyal follower of Limewire and $helled out for the Pro version to support 'development' a few months ago.

Suspiciously a few months down the line, and just after my 'free 6 months of downloads' later, I discover that every time I load it, it keeps bugging me with "Download the latest!" and lots of popup boxes asking for "USERNAME" and "PASSWORD" ??

Whats all this about ? Another demand to upgrade again?

I've been trying out Kazaalite (the one without all the spyware etc..) and it seems to be a much better P2P network than Gnutella and Limewire - and faster with more content - and it's completely free.

The password dialog was meant a feature for private networks, that was never officially released. Some modified developer versions might have triggered it. The latest version doesn't display it anymore.
