Can i rate files?? or what is wrong??
 

I have a song i wrote that i want to share. It's in my shared files.. but in the search it will not find it.. i'm wondering if it won't because it has no star rating. Is there anyway to rate my file so that it will show up in searches or is there something else wrong that might be stoping it from showing up?? It is called Sitting on the Roof by Shrimp Scampi. Thanks!

The star rating next to each song in the search results windows refers to the reliability of host that has that file. The higher the stars, the more reliable (i.e. better history of upload success) the host is.

I don't quite understand what you mean when you say, when you search for the file you don't find it. If you mean in LW, Limewire's search results page will only show files other people have, not ones you have. And if you don't get any results, then obviously that portion of the network that responded to your search doesn't have the file. Since it's an original, perhaps I could hypothesized that no one has downloaded it from you?

Does it show up in your library, and is it in a file formatt that Limewire recognizes. You can look which file formatts LW is set to recognize under the preferences.
