Annotations of audio files, espcially for Ogg Vorbis I am runnig LimeWire 3.5.8 under my Linux-Box and it works great! What I don't understand is: there are some detailed informations of the offered sound files visible when I move my mouse pointer over the name of the file (e.g. Artist, album, length, bitrate). Where does LimeWire get this information from ? Is it from ID3(V2)-Tags ? Is it from the "annotations" menu, which lets me add this kind of information manually (but it is not stored in the file. But if not, how is it transferred ?). I ripped a lot of cd's in ogg vorbis format, but the tags (ID3-tags?) that I ripped into the files are not visible in Limewire. But on the other hand, I found some ogg vorbis files from other guys that had again annotations. Have they been added manually ? Who can explain me what the hell is going on here. Thank a lot Francis |
