I'm glad you care enough about LimeWire to post about it, deepblue. However, as you so eloquently posted in another thread -- you can't trust everybody. If we refunded everybody who said, "I can't connect" or some other complaint we would be out of business in a day. It is very very easy to download the free version, verify that you enjoy using the software and it works according to your standards, and then after reviewing the product buy the Pro version if you feel so inclined.

I agree with that, however you could look into some of the claims a little further. Those who care enough to post multiple times in this wonderful forum should get better service. I believe that those who try repeatedly to solve their problems deserve it. I respect the hard work of the developers of LW, I just feel sorry for those who believe the lies and end up wasteing their money.

We do. LimeWire 3.7 contains massive improvements to the connection logic. All of this was done in response to complaints about connectivity. Development is not an immediate thing, we need to decide how to do it, do it, test and make sure it works, incorporate it with other changes, etc.. People complain when we release too often and when we release too little, so there's a fine line to walk about releasing new versions. The complaints we would get about releasing a new version that only has connection fixes would about equal the complaints we see about the connection problems.

We even designed a massive bug-tracking database and added a large amount of code to automatically report bugs (instead of requiring the user to email them) so that we can easily focus on problems that many users are experiencing. Every day we review the bugs to determine what can be fixed.

There are millions of things that can be added (and removed) to or from LimeWire. The trick is knowing which ones to focus on, and when to focus on them.

Connectivity is better in 3.7. There's one right.
