A warning to most of you who think your safe from adware / spyware
 

I ran several test and have found that limewire does indeed install adware (as its site says it doesnt) and spyware, so i suggest that all of you get Spybot search and destroy or adaware to remove this adware / spyware.

No wonder support can not be given by workers, what would they do to explain all the complaints they get about crap getting put on their computer.

Its not new that the basic version installs spyware, the devlopers call it adware...

The Pro is free of this kind of crap but they ask money for it, but its good that Gnutella offers client which are free of crap and don´t ask money... some are supported on our side check them (Phex, Gnucleus, Shareaza are good and free).

There are plenty of LimeWire builds that don't contain bundled software. Some of them are also available from the LimeWire.com website. AFAIK the English Windows installer and the OSX installer are the only ones containing bundled software.

Not to mention that there are a number of free builds like AquaLime, the jum-builds, etc pp.
