| Does anyone know for sure if there is some major difference between the Linux and Window's version? I have both, and here is what I find: 1. Windows usually has 4 host connections alive and well within 5 minutes, linux sometimes takes nearly 15! 2. I seem to get more search results returned with Windows. I was under the impression that they could connect cross-platform. Was I mistaken? Any response would be appreciated. |

| LimeWire is a cross platform server/client file sharing program. Since they both follow the 0.4 Gnutella protocol, they are compatible. Your linux LW is not getting good connections for reasons other than cross platform compatability. I haven't even gotten LW to work on my Linux setup yet, so I can't tell you any more than what I already have. |
