Player failure Hey, I just dl'd LimeWire after getting quite fed up with kazaa. In kazaa, I ran my files within the program, which meant in the kazaa window but really in Windows Media Player (WMP). All was good. Now I have LimeWire. If I try to launch a file from my library, WMP opens, but I get a "cannot open this file" message. I can still file>open that file from within WMP, but doing so is horrendously slow and means I can't make a playlist. I also can't use the internal LimeWire player for some reason. That's my question. I launch a file into the LimeWire player and it plays. I just can't hear it. The audio output in my volume bar is oscillating - under wave volume. Playing an mp3 in WMP, I hear the music, but not one volume bar registers any change. The LimeWire file is obviously playing - I can see the bar progressing. I just can't hear it. HELF ME PLEEB, would be muchmuch appreciated -dK |
Hi... First question that comes to my mind... Have you recently installed (or re-installed) any other software ? |
re I installed LimeWire a day before this post, and the problem continues. That was the only change between killing KaZaA and getting LW. Seems kind of moot now, as, assumedly thanks to my @#$@ with the system preferences, I am getting no repeat NO sound output whatsoever... *shudder* -Warspite |
was the problem solved? Did you ever figure out the problem with the sound? if so can you help me? |
