does anyone know for sure whether limewire is legal downloading and sharing or not? and does it have protection from the RIAA? like KaZaA lite++? i cant decide whether to use kazaa or limewire...

Yet again, the software itself is legal.
The illegal factor comes in when you downoad/share illegal content.
It would be the same if you got Kazaa or anything else: as long as you don't download share anything illegal, you're fine.

Downloading copyrighted content for free is illegal (although that doesent stop me or thousands of other people). The software itself is completly legal, and it is completely legal to share uncopyrighted material. I hope this helps.
