Limewire Hacks/Mods

Does anyone here know of any modded Limewire sites. An example of the type of sites I'm looking for would be Freewire, aqualime, or one i found a long time ago with a duck...heh.

I would like to find some personal homepages of people trying to start their own versions of Limewire and trying to distribute them.

Do you all know of any?

Wow, I just read their FAQ. They copied the whole FAQ from LimeWire.com except for the "Copyright 2003 Lime Wire LLC. All rights reserved."-part.

Yea

Thats a wee lazy I agree. I was depressed to find the site doesn't even have a forum....or any upgrade news for the program...I mean do you just guess?

That's not just lazy, that's copyright infringement, - not to mention that they violate the GPL.

Quote from the FAQ:
" Q: Is GLUZ’s source code available?

A: No."

(was: "Q: Is LimeWire’s source code available?

A: Yes it is. LimeWire is now open source. Please check http://www.limewire.org. You can sign up and obtain the source code there." at the LimeWire FAQ)

That is stupid. Their program is basically Limewire...I don't see any advantages. I'm sure there are some but just skimming the site its just different icons. Why would they wanna risk copyright infringement?

Have you contacted them about this? I would like to see there response though its prolly just "we didn't know sorry" and it will stay he same or the site will go down...who knows.
