moving songs to ITunes

I have been having trouble moving files from LW to ITunes. I am using a Dell desktop PC and open both windows (LW&ITunes). I should be able to drag the files into the ITunes song list, but every time I try I am unable to drag them out of LW. Any ideas?

As you state the problem, you say that you try to move the files *directly* from LW's window(s) to iTunes.
I figure you're gonna have to look for your shared folder and drag-drop them from there.
Otherwise (if such a thing is available in the Windoze version) you could try enabling iTunes support in LW's Options.

i don't really know about the windows version, but with my mac i have found the best way to move songs to itunes is to choose add to library from the file menu in itunes and then browse for the file you want. hpe this helps

In a Mac you can also just set iTunes as the default application to open songs (which I think it is anyway) and then double click any song you want to add to the library. I think that this way is waaaaaaaay faster than selcting looking for individual songs with the Add to Library function.
Besides, as I said in my previous post, LW has a "support iTunes" function (at least for Macs. No idea with PCs) which, when selected, automatically sends the dlded songs to the library.

Of course. If I wasn't too lazy to look for the link then I would have posted this myself. VERY nice tutorial.

Try this.
File -> Add To Library. Same as Command O.
Be sure the preferences are set to import it in the format you want, like (iTunes -> Preferences ->Importing -> AIFF Encoder or MP3 Encoder.
