Downloading, then bumped to "Waiting in Line, Position 7"???

OK I'm new but what's up with this? It's downloading then stops and puts me in 5th position to wait all over again. I don't get it. Plus this takes a long time to download. Thanks!

Waiting in position occurs when the user that hosts the file you want, queues your demand because he/she has no more upload slots available.
I generally consider (I hardly ever get it lately -lucky me I guess-) that waiting in a position of 5 or less is ok, since the dld is likely to get going really soon.

I still don't believe I understand fully. It WAS doing fine and downloading was in progress (already)... then it stopped. It's the interuption that I don't get - then getting kicked back in line?!? Thanks Murasame.

Without knowing it, you may be doing the exact same thing to others: someone wants to dld a song X and runs a search for it. You have the song available and you show up in the user's search results. The user clicks dld on your file but you are already uploading to as many users as you can. The user's request for the song X is ut on hold or Queue. If you are the only one uploading, the queue number you'll see in the monitor window will also be the Waiting in Position # number, so if you only have one queue then the user will see Waiting in position 1.
Waiting in position can be irritating if you really want a file, because people generally would like to have the desired files as quick as possible (well, duh) and if you're waiting in position, you never know when the user that has your file will go offline. While this also goes of course for a file that is dlding fine, waiting for a file to start dlding only to see it gain the "Need more sources" or "Awaiting Sources" status can get a little frustrating. But, what do you want? Patience is a prerequisite for P2P.

To reply more explicitely to your question, you might be dlding just fine a file, but if the user that has the file you want puts your dld on hold then you'll have to wait until he/she is more free.
