Adios, adieu, goodbye get bent

OK, I tried everyting everybody suggested, limied my d/lselections to at least 5 (alleged) sources and I still only get :Need more sources or can NEVER connect to a source.

If this program and P2P groups isn't a fraud, then I have never seen one.

I'M OUTTA HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gee, you pm'd me for advice & you didn't take it. Exactly how much advice did you take in the thread. Impatience is not a virtue with any software. There's always solutions if you're patient enough to find one or wait till one can be found for you. It's not easy identifying probems from a distance when little is known. I'm certainly personally sorry I couldn't find a solution for you. But as I replied in my pm that I'm no expert & there's certain areas I particularly lack in. If you do decide to trash LW, keep a backup just in case! Somebody yet might come to the rescue. (When you have probs with any app, you should consider all parameters, incl. the suggestion I made in the last note! It's worked for many others.)

5 files d/l in 6 days, 3 mislabelled. Some system. Maybe my misake was I paid for this piece of crap. I did everything including a clean reinstall and could not even get ONE FREAKING SOURCE.

For you help thanx but it did not work and this program stinks of misrepresentation and fraud.

Your thoughts seem to be greatly distorted with frustration & impatience. You have obviously never had an experience where a particular app has some small 'fitting into its place properly' problem before. I reiterate, a stubborn frustrated mind doesn't help solve a software issue. This version of software has worked extremely well for some people. But there's always those few who have problems with a newer particlular version. I find it difficult to believe you have taken my advice in such a short time. You need to relax a little. Many of us have had those frustrating moments/nights/weeks where we might have possibly thought the same way. Don't necessarily expect the problem to disappear overnight. It's something that must be looked at in detail & considered over & over. Many software probs are like that. (Sometimes it's taken me weeks/mths to solve a softwre issue, despite my prog training & exp) (Plus, U know guesses are version 4.0.5 or other might work perfectly!) I've only been on this forum 6 weeks as a volunteer & am just a happy LW user for 3 yrs. Lw hasn't cheated me which is why I'm happy to give back. I believe they could very easily charge more for its effectiveness & results. But in some people's cases some fine tuning needs to be done to get the app running efficiently. Sometimes there's some system/LW/firewire settings that need to be set for a very specific user that might vary from others.

As of 7:08PM US Mountain Time about 450,000 people disagree with you, Hilander. If you are so fed up with LW use BearShare, Shareza, Morpheus, iMesh, or any other program you can think of. Because LimeWire ovbiously isn't working for you.

Frustrations

Many of the feelings you have and experiences, I had with Morpheus PRO. Soulseek was okay but all music, little apps, or vids. I gave up both for LW Basic and haven't looked back. LW has many many options and advanced features that you can set and some affect the others. If you are unfamiliar with the terminology and settings ask someone you know to come over and physically help you with the settings, if you have XP I'm willing to remote connect and help you--it is an option. When I first got here I needed help with one or two things and people responded instantly with help--unlike Morpheus and Soulseek. Directing your anger at the PEERS trying to help you will get you no help at all and usually a lot of hostility back. I've been a programmer and writer for many years and when I get frustrated or blocked for ideas, I walk a way maybe for a day or two and try to come back and look at it fresh. There are a lot of people that want to help because that is part of what makes P2P work. Some can be a little arrogant but still they are responding to you right?? Try that on the other P2P's. Anyway, if you would like to try one more time you can PM me and I'll be happy to give it a look see and try and get you running. Best Of Luck
