Upgrade a major disappointment

Hey,

I'm all for supporting the programmers who have designed P2P shareware, but upgrading to Limewire Pro has been a major disappointment: downloads aren't any faster, and may in fact be slower (don't ask me how; I'm confussed about it myself). I've been all day attempting to download several files of interest and have not been able to download one!

If you don't mind paying for (non existent) membership service, then upgrading is a very fine thing to do. But, personally, I don't think the programmers who designed the software really designed it to provide anything extra to members who upgrade to the Pro service. So in my opinion, I don't think upgrading to Pro is justifiable: there is nothing to upgrade to! The programmers forgot to go to work the days they were writing the upgrade software and there is nothing of it to be found: they don't deserve your support: the upgrade sucks!

IMO.

Yes, the difference between LimeWire Basic and LimeWire Pro is very small, - as far as speed is concerned. Would you rather have LimeWire make the basic version slower so the difference becomes noticable?

As far as support is concerned, - I believe LimeWire is experiencing a slight shortage in personnel (I don't know if that affects customer service ).

NO, I'm not saying to make the freeware slower, but Pro members should be able to at least lock into downloads before freeware users -- call it the benefits of upgrading to the Pro membership.

Heck, I can't even lock into downloads that are there in multiple forms, let alone in single form.

IMO

That's not possible, - LimeWire could probably do that if there were no other clients on the network, but LimeWire is only one of many Gnutella clients and other vendors don't care whether you are running the Pro version or not.

For that reason it is impossible to ensure Pro customers always get a download slot.
