limewire seems to be gimpy?

I have tried downloading limewire a few times now, and each time the same problem.

It appears to download ok, the installer runs ok, but when i try to run limewire the menus/text don't line up. Also the interface is missing a search box and the text in each menu is cut off. Then if I go to the apple menu the program quits- type 2 error message. I don't get it. It worked fine a few days ago, then just stopped working. I have downloaded from a couple different locations

Any suggestions???

Same thing here, but you can work around it. Limewire doesn't like you to do much when it is on, so use your control strip to go to other applications, like email. Just be sure that Limewire isn't the icon on the left, click your desktop and be sure the finder or another app is first, or it will quit Limewire. Sort of funny, but you can use Limewire if you're careful.

You might want to try downloading Mactella or MP3Rage, both work well enough. You'll miss the ability to search more than one song at a time, but at least you won't have to worry about it quitting on you.

Mactella pulls songs from Limewire and Bear networks, so you actually get more songs to choose from!

Hope this helps.
