saving as Limewire document?

Since I've downloaded the Limewire update, anything I download is being saved as a Limewire document rather than an mp3. I've re-downloaded Limewire, matched all the configs to my friend's, and still am unable to download anything successfully.

Somehow, the link above got messed up or corrupted (weird, huh?). So, here's another one, and hopefully this one will work.

After pasting this address correctly, it appears different when I view the post. I am thinking that the forum is trying to execute some kind of "auto-correct" that is not exactly being helpful in this situation.

type both of these lines into your web browser, and you should be able to view the page.

The first url you posted worked. vBulletin shortens long urls when it displays them but it links to the correct ones.

I guess it works with everybody else but me. I always get a 404 error. Fun stuff. Oh well. Thanks for explaining. :-)

Here's a solution.

Rather than downloading another application, I followed the directions of one of the posts in the link provided. All I did was rename two movie files with ".mpg" at the end, and one immediately changed to a Quicktime document and the other remained as a file, but was still playable through Quicktime. Try that.

Very cool! Hopefully, others who are also having this problem can use this alternative solution. :-)
