If you'e talking about purchasing music via iTunes yes you can do that. But for the non-copyright mp3/4's being shared, yes Limewire is a tool to use to share with others. Depending upon your OS platform, for mac OSX: As soon as an mp3 had dwnlded, it will be copied into the iTunes own library. Once you connect your iPod, iTunes will copy your iTunes song list across to the iPod. I'm not sure about the present version of Windows Limewire, but I think this process will be happening very shortly (I read some time ago that this was being introduced) if it isn't already existent. But the process of copying from iTunes to iPod (I should imagine) will most likely be equivalent. There's plenty of people very happily using the LW-iTunes-iPod combination!

If you have Window XP, then yes, you can transfer music to an ipod. All you have to do is download itunes from the apple website. Then, when the song is downloaded in your library, click explore. It will take you to the song's file. Right click, and open it with itunes. The song will be added to your itunes library, and then you can download it to your apple.

Heh, that's a good one. As if having a Mac won't do or it won't offer the same compatibility.

This says it all I think: How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes)
The limewire playlist you see in iTunes is simply a playlist. The actual songs still remain in the LW downld folder. So what you need to do is actually add the songs to iTunes Library.

iTunes is free. If you want to buy music through iTunes then you're going to have to pay.
