friends cant find files i put on lime wire

can any 1 help me im having a bad day lol iv put a few games on lime wire and my friend is trying to find them but cant hes try searching in all types and nothing comes up i have given him the exect file name and every thing also is there a way to put things in to groups like when i put music in my shared file will that auto become under type music ??? and games will they come under programes??

Are you aware that with the LW 4.1.5 beta you can do direct connects! You can also add ips in the connection window. Admittently I never had great success with it b/c I am on a dial-up connection so I'm at an immediate disadvantage.

lol true the good old traditional search never goes astray. Direct connect can work if you get good connections & have good connection type. I guess.

k i have v4.0.8 which i downloaded of cnet r u able to give the www. for lime wire just in case i cant find it lol ... but what about the files that i put on do they get cat or do there just come up as programes????

LW is able to differentiate b/w different file types. Be it music it'll categorise it as music, be it a picture (eg-jpg) it'll cat it as a pic, & so on. For mp3's you can add xtra info to them (id tag info) that'll help people locate them & know moe about the song. Yes LW can detect mp3 tag info & is effective when searching for mp3's; eg- the song's year, artist, song title, genre, album, track, comments, anything that's been added to to id tag.
However to search for a particular category of file then you should utilise LW's search options.

I did forget to respond to this. And from previous experience I can definitely verify it is true. If 'both' parties try in particular, there's no reason for not obtaining success. Obtaining success is the ultimate goal. So making sacrifices initially to obtain that initial success will give you confidence upon how to achieve it in future. 2 good connections should have more confidence.

k sorry last thing when i connect directly to a user its asks fo ip yea is that the stand ip of my computer or is it an ip lw gives you and if so how do i get lw ip add.. and is it socketed ???
