updated and lost library

I have been using LimeWire and love it. Today I updated to the latest basic version with no problem w/ installing. But when the new LimeWire opened, none of my searches or library songs were there. All was totally blank. Did I somehow lose them when I installed the new LimeWire. Please help me find my songs.

Unless you deleted your previous share & dwwnld folders they should be there. And your previous preferences should have remembered all previous settings. Do a search on your computer for anything you know was in those folders. Be that .mp3, etc. After locating go to LW's menu Tools-Options & Saving/Sharing to reset these files (don't forget to press Apply button.)

I did find the icons for my songs in My Documents. How do I get them to transfer over to the LimeWire so I can continue to download them in Searches. I may not be explaining this very well.

Did you change the location of your dwnld folder in this version LW compared to the previous one. That's the only reason I can think of that your incompletes files are not listed in your LW Library window. Remember that to view the contents of a shared/incomplete folder you must 1st click onto that folder (if it has a small arrow next to it it means there's another fiolder within it.) Whilst LW is open go to the LW Lib window & press Refresh button & then click onto the incomplete folder. If nothing is listed under incomplete then close LW. Drag all files from your previous incomplete folder & put them into your new incomplete folder (incl. downloads.dat & .bak) Then re-open LW. As for your shared folders, well you'll need to try to remember which ones you shared. If you also shared your dwnld folder then you'll need to copy the location listed under Tools-Options-Saving to Options-Sharing. Hope this helps.
