Upgrade to Pro popup
 

I hope someone can help me with this. I finally splurged and bought the pro version, and then decided to go with the Beta download from my pro activation link. The problem is that whenever I log on I get the old upgrade to pro pop-up. One of the biggest reasons I spent the money was so I didn't have to see that stupid message all the time. Should it not have stopped popping up?

If you've installed the LW Pro 4.1.7/8 & you're still getting that message, then you're obviously opening the wrong version! If you're opening the beta pro version, you'll definitely notice the difference immediately. Sounds like the link you're using (perhaps a shortcut) is still for the older version. Delete that link & create a new shortcut for the new version, but make sure you have selected the beta before you do anything. Alternatively trash your older version.

I just did that but I keep getting the upgrade to pro pop-up. And it is the 4.1.7

Either/both delete your LW prefs & remove the earlier free version LW. (But make a note of all your settings before you delete the prefs.)
Windows: C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire
OS X: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

Thanks, I ended up deleting everything and downloading the 4.1.8 and no pop up.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the beta 4.1.8 more than 4.0.8! See: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=29573 & you'll see when this is applied to either the dwnld window or search window, a lot more options become available!
