detecting WMV viruses I frequently see search results claiming that there's 100+ computers sharing a file with the exact filename as my search parameter ... oh, and it's 100KB .WMV file. It's obviously a virus! I've tried Block Host but the search results still appear. Sometimes, the name will have underscores, e.g. if I search for "Edit I get a response offering Edit .wmv" Can't LW automatically detect this stuff (and hide/block it) ? |
I wish. This new spammer has found a way to send so many IP's that there are too many to block. (I just filter .wmv files, and avoid the .jpgs with 30 or more hosts. The file size is also a clue). |
what's a trip is how fast his bot works. You can type ANYTHING in and get a result in seconds. Type in HOOLIOVOOGOAWOON and it'll come back as H_O_O_L_I_O_V_O_O_G_O_A_W_O_O_N |
