![]() Well, after looking around I've seen lots of posts on people worried about file sharing mp3s legally. From what I have gathered it is only illegal if the file is copyrighted. Is there any way to know if it is copyrighted before downloading it. After downloading about 20 songs I found 5 with copyrighted ID3 tags. I deleted them and I don't know what to do. I'm kind of confused on exactly what is legal and not. Correct me if I'm wrong but I understand that it is legal to use to download songs though the big and powerful people like RIAA have enough money that it dosn't matter if it is legal or not and can still take you to court. Thanks |

![]() GRANDMASTER- LOL. Well I'm really more concerned with if it is really a real concern and is it technically legal. I mean the media is always talking about slamming some music downloader. Is this really a real thing or is this a few select cases where these huge entertainment industries use their power to sue a few individuals and make examples out of them? ursula- Well, I've only got about half way through one of the links. lol Intresting stuff though. ![]() |
