Sharing My Files

This might been asked B4, but if I'm sharing my files, can other people see my IP address?

If you download, people can see your IP address.

Really, if you connect to the internet, your IP address is shown. Your IP address was sent anytime something showed up on your screen from the internet

Your IP address is how other machines know where to send the stuff you request.

Make sense? If not, don't worry about it. It's normal internet behaviour.

I didn't ask about downloading. I asked about sharing.
