Question Quality of Downloads

I see where there are 2, 3 and 4 star results in the search, and I assume that 4 is the best but what are the symbols; the broken page, the open file, etc? And just how much better is a 4 than a 2? I've searched around the site and can't seem to find any information. I also apologize in advance if I'm posting in the wrong forum.

Default star quality

Do Not pay any attention to star ratings. that is only the stability of the download. not the quality. all audio files are ranked by the bitrate. 320 being the highest.

the file symbol means you already have that file, the open file means you are downloading and the broken file means you stopped the download. Good luck

A broken page is where you have deleted your downld. An open page or manilla folder is representative of when you are still downlding the file.

The higher the star rating the easier it should be to downld it. If there's only a single star, then the chances of you connecting are slim or less chance of maintaining a good connection with that source. So choose a multiple star file & there's a better chance of a successful downld without being forced into 'needing more sources', etc. Single star means probably only one or two persons with modem or firewall connections have that file.

Oh somebody beat me! lol
