WMP for mac really does sukk! xcuse me butM$ do really poor efforts at mac platform apps & rarleyl do updates. The message is either for 2 reasons: You don't have the correct codecs to play that movie or else, it has some special M$ licencing incorporated. If you're serious about watching movies on mac, you really do need to upgrqade to mac osx. It sounds harsh but it's a fact. There are no longer video apps or updates for OS 9 apps for video purposes. The newer video formats & wmv formats will be simply unplayable by os9 apps. OSX has better support all round. And there's free apps out there that'll play almost all formats including most wmv files on osx. Wht you can do is go to your QT preferences & press the MIME button & tick all option boxes & press OK.
