Angry Search Problems

Everytime I do a search in LimeWire such as searching say for a specific movie title, you MAY get one or two hits on THAT title as well as 300 hits on anything from adult porn, other movie titles ect. Is there a way to search and just get the results of your search without the other crap? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Make sure to narrow your search as much as possible.
If you where looking for let's say
"*****."
Then you would get a enourmous amount of search results.
Looking for : "*****" would give you much better results.

How much more narrow can you mke a movie search than the actual title????

Point is I get alot of items that is not even close to the title. For example I type in a search for the movie " ****" I may get a couple links for that title but also a whole screen of porn movies and movies of other titles. If I search for "******" then I should not be getting movies such as "*****" or "*****" or "*****" or "*****" How do those pertain to what I was searching for. It is almost like no matter how narrow the search parameters you will get whatever the program decides to give you. With programs like WinMX what you search for is exactly what you get.

I don't know exactly how the WinMX search works, but on Limewire you better leave out common words like "The".
At first sight a result might have no relation with your search term but you allso get results wich have matches in tags and descriptions you don't see at first .

See allso this thread:

Have to agree with DarkWolf. I'm new to Lime. I'm broadminded but I was quite shocked at some of the titles that came up when I was trying to find ***** for my boy (by the way how could the word **** pull up anything other than *****?).

There is absolutely no way that I could let any of my kids search on this site. I understand that controlling searches can be tricky but others have managed it, Google for one with their "quotation marks" search.

On the plus side download speeds when you do find what you want are pretty good, the layout is not confusing and I believe Lime are in it for the long term.

I genuinely wish Lime well (especially as they now have my cash!).
