download speed quick fix
 

I notice that I was sharing around 40 files, and my download speed was slow even though I have DSL. I created 60 blank files blank files in my shared folder. I feel that there are a lot of users that have their freeloader set at 100 files. Once I did this I saw the number of host on a download double. I hope that this info can help others.

OK I'll increase my freeloader settings then :D

johnvanc: How would you feel to spend an entire day downloading blank files? I share well over a thousand files. Some people have their freeloader settings set to 50 or 100 or 500. If people detect you're offering blank files. They may well start blocking you out. It may come back to haunt you in the end until you return here crying that you can't download much if anything. lol :D

Gees 100?? 40?? I thought I was being picky at setting my freeloader level at 5. No wonder some of this stuff is so hard to get downloaded or found.

Geez I must be the nice guy my freeloaders is set to one.

Of course I remember when I was starting out and didn't have anything, or know how to use p2p.

But leechers beware that aren't part of the G network. That little button that says remove or kill upload. works real well. Block host also works real well.
