No songs for me!!!
 

It seems that my limewire is operating OKay, but when I try to search out songs I get VERY limited selections. The other lady here in the same office will pull up thousands of songs and I'll get like 30 songs. That happens or I will get zero songs, while searching under the same words the other lady again will get thousands of songs.

If I do happen to get a song to come up, it acts like it is going to down load and like after six hours or so it is still not done downloading the one song. I have even closed it and gone home and the next day it was still not done!
I am losing my mind here!

ANYBODY GOT A CLUE WHY SHE'S HAVING TROUBLE??

The Gnutella network is not contiguous. There are may regions of the Gnutella network not accessible by everyone simultaneously due to the large size of the Gnutella network and effects of scaling. Network topology (virtual) is very different from the actual topology (physical). So, even though 2 computers are a mere few feet away, they are connected to different areas, which could possibly be fragmented and inefficient.

The entire network could be reached with a central server implementation, but this would make Gnutella extremely simple to terminate. In other words, a mirror image of the Napster situation.
