Spyware on LimeWire

For all of those people out there with LimeWire sorry to tell you it gives out bundled software called Grokster i found it with Microsoft AntiSpyware it is in the LimeWire file on your computer in Program Files and the file name is LimeWire.exe" "%L"
I am not kidding and although LimeWire claims not to give out bundled software but they do Grokster is given out as kind of like a trade for premium services for the ability to track your online habits and infect your computer

If you get Limewire from www.limewire.com (official site) then you don't get that.

I got it at limewire.com and downloaded it fine but im just saying i found spyware and i dont like it and i jus dont want people without spyware protection to get into something they are not prepared to get into

LimeWire contains absolutely no bundled software. As far as I know, "Grokster" is a competing P2P program. We certainly do not include that. I wrote LimeWire.exe myself, so I can say with confidence that it has no spyware inside it.

If Microsoft's AntiSpyware is reporting there is something bundled with LimeWire then Microsoft's AntiSpyware is wrong. It wouldn't be the first time Microsoft was wrong, and it probably won't be the last.

On www.betanews.com it shows Limewire beta 4.3.1 and lists it as adware.

I would recommend informing BetaNews that it isn't adware.

so this is a stupid argument. Someone on this forum has said the best anti spyware is spybot s&d and their site (the actual site, not the mirror site ) is what led me to get limewire. They recommended it. And go to www.microsoft.com and check out the newsgroup. It clearly points to MS Anti-spy, which is still in Beta by the way, as being filled with false positives, and many many bugs. So don't believe everything Bill Gates tells you.
