So I'm not special then?

At least I know I'm not being a mong on my tod.

Or is it that its a problem which needs looking at?

Just because somebody preaches people to do stuff doesn't mean that what they preach is right.
However, SP2 really does beef up security so if you're really tired of security issues (at least some of them) then get it (it doesn't have only downsides to it, right?)

By the way, the fixes for LW link doesn't work indeed, so I might just throw this out (I don't know what's in LOTR's linked page so...):
-get the latest Java
-do a clean reinstall of LW (uninstall it and delete the LW preferences folder)

Link is now fixed, sorry about that! two http's ...

Ah there you go.
Well that's one well made page dood. With pics and all. Kudos kudos

you are too kind murasame, anyway have defragged hard disk reinstalled using the suggested method; and guess what?

It still keeps shutting down!

I might as well just burn the house down and start again!

Any more suggestions?

I'm all ears

Thanks

I beg to differ, nothing on SP1 sorts my USB ports out they only kick in when Install SP2

... if LOTR's Fixes for LW page didn't do it for you then I'm starting to see that a more drastic measure maybe needed (more drastic as in "format" drastic: at least this way you'll have a better hope of things going the way you want)

Krazy_Ivan January 20th, 2005 01:58 AM

Oh no not again!

I last reformatted my hard drive on monday night ( 3 and a half days ago). It can't be ready for it again, can I? I've already defragged both partitions since then. Are there any other possibilities other than terminal ones?

Jer30 January 20th, 2005 02:35 PM

I reformatted my drive just after New Years and LimeWire still shuts itself down and disappears sometimes. Sometimes it works fine and other times it will shut itself down 2 or 3 times in a half hour. It's done this for the last 3 versions.
