mp3 downloads.com i joined downloads.com it cost me $17.00 for one year anyway they sent me an email with a link to finish joining i had to download a program named limewirewin.exe i did and when i went to open it i got the error not a valid win32 application so i did a google search for limewire i got one installed up and running downloading music then i come to think what did i pay $17.00 for so i went back to my email clicked on members page to logon it keeps saying before i start downloading i must install limewire which i have already got installed and downloading music,what i need to know is what is the relationship between mp3download.com and limewire have i been ripped off as i cant get onto the site i paid for hope someone can help me. cheers barry |
Another user is scammed (again) Dear barrykane2003 You have been scammed (ripped off) and, like many before you, you have joined the ranks of the naive and gullible. Take Peerless's advice and try and get your money back, if not then try to make sure that the scammers cannot extract anymore from your credit card. I think your scammers have been particularly nasty because most scammers at least let you download the free version of LW, which you had to downloaded yourself, but these ones gave you a bogus (non working) application. Note, mp3download.com is purely a scam organisation set up to catch people who know very little about the internet. Plus it has nothing to do with LW or any other P2P software.
