LimeWire makes the maximum height 40 pixels smaller than the height of your screen, in case there's a dock or something at the bottom (as there is on Windows & OSX by default). Very unfortunately, there's no way for us to figure out where the dock is, or get the screen size without the dock.

You can, however, make LimeWire larger by manually dragging it. The catch is that next time LimeWire is started, it'll size itself somewhat smaller.

SBerlin: There's some programs that memorise windows settings. Could this potentially be the same for LW in the future? Some people have also commented about how column settings widths (I think), & window partition sizes always revert to default everytime LW is re-opened. Whereas some people like to customise these to suit their particular use. (I'm guessing this would be easier to do on OSX than windows.)

You misread my post, LOTR. LimeWire does memorize the settings. It just enforces that whatever it sizes LimeWire as on startup will fit on your screen (because resolutions can change, etc..), which is why it is 40 pixels smaller on startup (if it was fully maximized on shutdown). That said, we were pointed to a way to get the correct size of the screen (in dimensions that exclude the dock/taskbar), so future versions of LimeWire won't have this flaw.

FYI, table column visibility, width, order, etc.. should all be remembered already.

I apologise there. You're are absolutely right. For some reason I was under the same impressions as they who remarked about this. Well ... this is certainly true for OSX.

I think what I thought I noticed (& could be wrong) is that if I increased the vertical size of the window partitions (eg: the download list or the search results) then next time I opened LW it wouldn't be the same but seemed to be more of a default setting (same as before I changed it.) I'll need to trial this out before I put my foot in it/tongue in the wrong place.

Give me half an hour or two & I'll check out my windows.

It was consistent with windows LW!

Screen Size

To the Guys at LW

I have just downloaded and installed LW Pro 4.4.4 and, for the very first time since I started to use LW last year, it fits perfectly on my screen. I can now see the LW media player buttons and the connection "Quality" monitor without resizing LW or my system tray.

I am sure that there are other great things under the hood but visually this improvement has done it for me :).

Looking forward to the next great update.
