Now that I downloaded limewire

How do I get the songs to download after I put the Artist name in and then click the song I want. It does nothing at all. Help please.

Press the search button. Then when the results start showing up, select the one you want & press the Download button. May I suggest you download the User Guide: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/userguide.shtml & unzip it. Then you will need Acrobat Reader to open the unzipped pdf. This will show you the basics of using LW. ;) :)

Thank you Mr Lord of the Ring. I will read that info. I just don't understand it. I can click on 25 song to download, they will go to que and either come back awaiting busy host or Need more source. For the last three hours I only down loaded three songs.

What type of connection do you have? (dial up modem, broadband or cable)? What the link was saying is you are trying to download too much at one time! Of course it goes directly to Queued b/c your connection cannot handle downlding so many files at one time. You're being too greedy so to speak. Select one, two or three. Once they've finished then select another few.

If you have many that are saying queued & you're downlding some then eventually the others may give up waiting b/c there's not enough bandwidth or download slots to start downlding, so they end up showing Need More Sources. How many download slots do you have? LW's menu Tools>Options>Downloads

I understand totally what your saying. I'm at work in a office building and I believe we are on cable setup. I tried just one then I tried two. I also tried the severall to see which will go thru. I moved my allowable to 25 it was at 12 when program was first up and running. I used a similiar set up before and I had no problem with it. I like the limewire cause my buddy showed it to me on his computer.

If you can get the time it might be worth having a read thru some of these links & links to links: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=34114

By the way, the process I describe of stopping the file will also work on Queued files occasionally! That's using the Stop button at the bottom of the download window.
