transfer of files to "library"

hello...eh...fellow file-sharing peoples of this thing we call the web
perhaps, one of you can be of help.

upon completing a download, limewire used to move the file to the bottom of the list in the library section.
this was very convenient, as i could then select and drag the new files to my media player- where ive all my music neatly categorized and stored.
i am sure i did not manually change anything...but now the file seemingly disappears :(

i would assume the file is just placed in the library ain alphabetical order (as this is the order the list now manifests its self in) --- but nope, i cannot find the file there.

does anyone know how i can arrange the library to show files in order of date\time downloaded?

this would be most helpful.

any feedback very much appreciated

The Library only shows these folders --- Incomplete Files, Saved Files, and the folders with the files you are sharing ( whatever they might be named).

You can look in the saved files folder. You will probably see your d/l file there in red. You can highlight, and click explore. This should take you to the location of that file.

Files in red are not being shared. Files in black are being shared.

You can also go to tools>options>saving ---- this will show the location your d/l files are saved to once complete.

If you would like to share that folder you can go to tools>options>sharing --- click add -- this will open up a window you can locate the folder and add to sharing if you want.

There is no feature as of yet to sort by date/time in the library.

Hope this helped.

yep...

it seems that i had unwittingly changed the location my downloaded files are saved to when i upgraded to limewire 4.8 :/

thanks for the quick reply and all the help (some of your posts in other threads have been useful to me as well)

cheers,
~lethe
