I'm trying to use limewire to transfer files between me and my brother in law but his searches don't turn up my specific, named especially for this purpose, test file.

The idea is to use limewire as a me to him file transfer tool. That's possible, right?

I'm on the network, my files are in my shared folders... he's successfully downloaded and installed limewire and has searched and downloaded other music, etc. But he's not finding any of my specific files. Any ideas?

Here is one of them, with a unique name as to limit his search results. Can any one else find the file?

By the way, it's me strumming through the chord melody of Giant Steps many years ago but it's only about 500 kbts.

I did 2 searches, one specifically barmagggnattt.mp3 with no results.
Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is it True/False? If it's false it means you're firewalled somewhere.

By the way the best way to direct connect is to make sure you both have Chat enabled, & have some open upload & download slots & bandwidth. If you'e too busy uplding or downlding then it will make it difficult to DC. See: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=30911 for some tips on DC. Also if you or your brother can't see your own ip address on the direct connect search window it means you'er firewalled.
