What is uploading when I share "0" files?

My firewall is showing a ton of outgoing bytes when I have shared "0" files. This only happens when running limewire.

Any one know?

Please share. If no one shared, then the network would not work.

The Gnutella protocol routes search and other messages through all users computers. This is how it works without a central server. We have an alpha client with query routing coming out this week that will eventually drastically reduce this traffic.
