Retrieving Limewire Files From My Other Computer

I recently came to a second computer location and want to retrieve the Limewire music I downloaded into my other computer. I copied the Limewire data on my other computer but am unable to access anything.

Can anyone help me????

For a start you have posted in the Bearshare forum which is a totally different program.

Now all you need to move across is the incomplete folder. It must be intact. Then you can install afresh on the new computer & replace the new incomplete folder with the older one you moved across. But you must only do this whilst LW is closed!

Oh upon a re-read I think I misunderstood your problem. Can you explain in much greater detail what you want to do.

(I've moved your post.)

To Lord Of The Rings:

I finally found where you moved my inquiry .. sorry for inadvertently posting to the WRONG area.

Let me restate my problem .. I have Limewire installed on a computer at my home .. I downloaded some music and it is in the limeare program at that home location.

I have now come to a vacation cabin .. I tried to install Limewire from a copy I made of the program at the original location. It wouldn't work so I re-installed a fresh version of Limewire here at the vacationn location.

I now want to be able to locate and transfer the Limewire music files from the home computer to this location.

Can you (or anyone) help ??
Thanks

OK so your LW at home is turned on right? If yes, then you can try to direct connect: Direct Connect/Browse/Chat (click on link) If you can't DC then search for something specific in your shared folder. If your LW at home or comp is not turned on then I wouldn't have a clue.

If you are using a Windows operating system --- you might be able to use windows explorer and search the CD for your files. If you locate them you can drag and drop to a folder on your hard drive.

I may have mis-read your post.
