Is it possible to force your comp to be an ultrapeer?

Not that I'm aware of. LW will know when it's ready to become a UP & if the Gnet needs it at that time. If you have a reliable connection, are not firewalled, well configured, then there's no reason why it shouldn't happen after LW has settled (except for the 1st point.)
