ALLS I DID WAS INSTALL IT AND ****, I GOT LIKE 100VIRUSES.NOW MY NEW 64 3200+ RUNS LIKE A ****IN GRANDMA. SAME THING HAPPENDED WITH MY FRIEND. EVEN TYPE "LIMEWIRE SPYWARE" IN GOOGLE AND LOOK UP OTHER STORIES.LIME WIRE YOU MOTHER ****ERS, U OWE ME A NEW COMPUTER!!

Hehe--looks like the poor guy either downloaded a hacked copy from a spam site, or foolishly opened one of those trick files without checking it first.

Still, I feel sorry for him (or her, etc). Hubris precedes nemesis, and all that, wot?

Some bizarre links he gave (some were actually less than a year old). This one was pretty funny at firstFunny for a bit, but then . . . "Poor folks."

Actually, I hope everyone reads his post. Those who take it seriously should stop using LimeWire, and then maybe the infected files will stop being spread by the those who don't check what they are downloading. True, they will have to learn to be very careful about their email attachments and web sites, but at least they won't be on gnutella or other filesharing networks until they understand how to protect themselves by either getting a mac or Linux distro, or loading their Windows with checkers

This man, GOD DAMN, is a fool.

It is obvious he got his copy of LW from somewhere else, i.e. a screwed up version from a dodgy site.

It is also obvious that he did not have any protective software on his PC, more fool him, otherwise he would not have been hit so hard and his PC rendered useless.

You know, reading GOD DAMN's post reminds me of watching an episode of "Judge Judy", where some sad idiot is either being sued or trying to sue somebody else because they are too stupid to take responsibility for their own actions, i.e. it's always somebody else's fault.

GOD DAMN, you screwed up because you did not take any precautions and you did not download LW from the official site.

I hope the moderators make this a "sticky" because this is a prime example of how stupid some people can be.

Hmmmm Tucows not the "offical" LimeWire website. I suggest you contact Tucows and let them know someone may have corrupted there file of LimeWire with nasty things.

And don't forget this is a forum, and we have no affiliation with LimeWire LLC. We all are volunteers who try and assist users the best we can.

Please forgive me the error of my ways and if you be so kind as to send me your computer I will be most happy to reprogram it to run right and make sure I install LimeWire Pro correctly. I will be most happy to safeguard your computer until the second coming at which time you may pick it up here at your convenience with charge. You will know where to send it as you know everything, but the correct locations to d/l Limewire or the use of spyware busting software. I will make sure these are installed too.
