New to Limewire, few Questions...

I just downloaded Limewire from download.com

I used to have Ares Lite but have been unable to connect for weeks, so i decided to try out Limewire

Can i transfer my Ares lite files to Limewire???

Second, is there a way to organize Limewire files better, like>Audio>Video>Software>Document>etc.. sort of like Ares lite's setup instead of being all mixed up in one folder(Saved Files)????

Lastly, in my Saved Files folder, I have a bunch of files like update, install, clink, and loads more files that came with the downloading, can I remove all of them so I only have what I download in there, or will that cause a problem???

Thanx

Ok....but I have another problem, the Uninstall feature with Limewire is not there

When I go to Add/Remove programs, I cannot Uninstall...I must have deleted it when I was deleting some files from my Save Folder

Any help!? Doh!

Also, I have Microsoft AntiSpyware if that would work instead of the Adaware, Spybot thing!

download.com does not bundle anything with LW as they redirect the dl to LW servers. Download.com is mainly a promotional site with a downloads count feature.

Please stop it Peerless! This would be on any major site within a minute if that was true!

:o

I"m wondering why aren't you on OpenBSD Peerless? They only have "Only one remote hole in the default install, in more than 8 years!"... That's the OS for the paranoids.

Ciao

I searched through my Limewire folder, there is no Installer option either

Could I redownload the program, or download an Uninstaller in the limewire search, or would the be a bad move...i noticed they are all .exe files

No you can't transfer incomplete files from one p2p app to another. You can add the complete files for sharing yes. For organising your audio files better, see: Albumwrap/iTunes

Protective software (the 1st 2 have been proven to be the only ones that work properly out of multitudes of duds of that type of program):

ad-ware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ (FREE)

Spybot - Search & Destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html (FREE)

Peerguardian: http://peerguardian.sourceforge.net/ (FREE)
