Anyone Know How To Reload Incomplete files?

Hello. I started up Limewire yesterday, and when it opened a message came up stating that Limewire was "unable to reload" or "unable to restart" my incomplete downloads. And this has happened 3-4 times now in the past week or so. Does anybody know if there is a way for me to get those incomplete downloads to load again and finish downloading? The incomplete files are still in my "Incomplete" folder, but they just will not show up where my other active downloads are. I would really like to be able to finish downloading these incomplete files, as some of them are already over 100,000 kb. If anybody has any ideas or suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! - The Arizona Assassin

Please follow the 1st 2 suggestions to fixing this issue: Fixes for Limewire & also update your LW to 4.8.1 for security reasons & performance issues: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

just right click on the file in the incomplete folder then click resume. This will not fix the problem, but it is a work around.

I'm having the same problem, after having connection problems discussed here, with solutions such as:

2. Delete the LW Preferences folder called .limewire (whilst LW is closed!) & found here: Windows NT 4.0 / 2000 / XP: C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire

NOW, whatever the link was that said "load incomplete" downloads seems not to exist, ANYWHERE!!! I've spent more than an hour searching for it. I have files that I've been trying to FINISH downloading for two months, yet now I can't even load them.

The links above don't work and I can't find what deacon is talking about if I can't even load the the folder in the first place.

So, we need real solutions!!!!!!!!

In LW tools>options>saving --- days to keep incomplete files ---- increase this number to say 100. By default it is set to 7.

In LW Library tab -- highlight the incomplete folder. This will show your incomplete files --- highlight a file --- then click the resume button --- this will move the file back to your download window.

Loading Incomplete Files

Unfortunately clicking "Resume" after highlighting a file in your Incomplete folder will resume the download FROM ZERO.
Any portion you've previously downloaded is gone and you have to start all over. VERY frustrating. How does WinMX load partial files and search for matches so easily???

The link in the Lord Of The Rings post does not work, and I just downloaded the newest version and it didn't help. My days to save Incompletes is set to 300 days.

I would buy the PRO version if I was assured that this wouldn;t happen but there's no Customer Service or Information/Support email to ask any questions before you buy.

Back to WinMX I guess....
