corrupted files

I do not understand why today i havent been able to download a single file. All seem to go up to 100% and then say they are checking for content or something then go back and start again only to end up being corrupt.

If anyone can help please respond to this message.

Sounds like a bad source or your downlds are being affected by something like a firewall, AV software, etc.

Can you do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is it True/False?

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.

Decoy - Need help! May 12th, 2005 07:53 AM

alright lord of the rings, i see your threads all over the place and i guess you really know what you are talking about. i also have orhbear's problem. i've been trying to download for the past 3 days without success. the download starts, its not a problem, but after verifying the file, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM say the file is corrupted. i had this problem before and i dont remember what i did to resolve it. i did the bug report test (it says false) but i have no clue what that means.

here is my complete setup:
1. windows XP SP2
2. dont know about the firewalls (dont even think i have one)
3. 512 DDR SDRAM
4. 100 GB available hard drive space
5. cable connection
6. Motorola SB5100 SURFboard Cable Modem
D-Link ethernet broadband router DI-604
7. trying to connect from home
8. LW version 4.8.0
Java version 1.5.0_02

i would really appreciate if you could help me resolve this really annoying problem.

thx to all those who will respond
